The While We’re Waiting ministry offers free Biblically based retreats, where bereaved parents form bonds and make connections with other moms and dads who truly understand the experience of child loss.
Our Hearts Are Home is a faith-based non-profit organization that ministers to grieving families, provides encouragement to those who are suffering and educates and equips individuals to reach out to those in need.
Melissa Shaffer of Surviving Child Loss has blogged every year since she lost her son Tristan to suicide in 2020. She offers perspective, hope, and encouragement on this hard and lonely journey.
